Comparing an Anglo-Saxon Warrior with a Roman Soldier

"I would be a Roman soldier because the Roman army are well organised, protected and very, very strong and the Anglo-Saxon army are not as well organised as the Roman army.

We know that the Roman army use their shields as a turtle and they have very good machines to protect them. And they have more men than them.

The Anglo-Saxons were not organised as well as the Romans and the Anglo-Saxons did not have armour, they only had spears and planks of wood around them and not as well as the Romans."

"I would rather like to be a Roman soldier because the Romans are more equipped and organised. But the Anglo-Saxons just said 'Charge'.

The Roman army are well protected and have shields and make something called a turtle. The Roman army are well equipped.

The Anglo-Saxons were not well organised they just charged into battle. They didn't have as much equipment as the Romans."

"I would like to be a Roman, well equipped, well trained, good weapons, well protected, well armed. The army is well trained, well equipped, good weapons, well protected, well armed.

The Anglo-Saxons are not well trained as the Romans. We know that the Anglo-Saxons were not as well organised as the Romans because the Anglo-Saxon tribes fought with each other."
