Tapping or clapping out names.

Tambourine

Children will sit in a circle. I will start by saying my name "Mrs. Walters" and clapping out the beats in my name.

"MISS-ES WAL-TERS"

Then I will ask the children to clap out my name all together using the correct number of claps.

We will then move around the circle, each child saying their name and clapping out the beats in that name. All the children will beat out their name in turn.
