Darllen: Darllen yn unigol ac mewn grwp pob dydd.

Ysgrifennu: Ysgrifennu brawddegau yn cynnwys priod-ddulliau.

Adolygu sut i greu stori ddiddorol - y plant i ysgrifennu stori 'Help! Help!'

Gwaith Darllen a Deall 'Glan Llyn' - erthygl allan o 'CIP'.

Llafar: Trafod y testun 'Oes gormod o raglenni chwaraeon ar y teledu?'

• Ydy'r plentyn yn deall y priod-ddulliau?
• Ydy'r plant yn cynnwys disgrifiadau/deialog yn y stori?
• Sut mae nhw'n ymateb i'r darn darllen/deall?
• Ydyn nhw'n mynegi barn ar lafar?

Eto, rhaid cael y plant i gynnwys mwy o ddigwyddiadau diddorol mewn stori. Nid oedd modd gwneud y gwaith yma.

Emphasis on characters in stories - using the big book 'Character Portraits'the children will study two extracts:

(1) 'I bite my fingernails' - examine the details - the children to write descriptions of themselves in a similar way.

(2) 'The Old Sea Dog' - the children to mark nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs.

Handwriting practice Sp. Yr.5 Ex.7 (Folens), Yr.6 Ex.7 (Folens).

• Do the children use interesting descriptions in their written work?
• Do they understand how adjectives and adverbs enrich a passage?

Yr. 6's descriptions were more interesting than those of Yr5 - therefore more practise needed here. Most were able to distinguish between adjectives and adverbs.

Length: Mental activities will focus on relationship of units of measuring length. Both groups to revise the relationship and terms - mm, cm, m, km.

Yr.5: Use of 4 rules. Teacher produced work sheets and Cambridge 5(2) p.65-67, S.P.M.G. (3) p.55.

Yr.6: Decimal notation of length; 4 rules. Estimates.

• Are the children confident in using terms and their relationship?
• Can they convert 1 unit to another?
• Can they use the 4 rules in measuring sums?

Changing from 1 unit of measurement to another requires more practice. Children need to read questions carefully.

Revision of what 'gravity' is. Groups to continue with the investigations of the previous lesson.

Introduce 'friction' - the children to investigate how friction can speed things up, slow things down.

• Do the children set out their investigations fairly?
• Can they explain 'friction'?

The groups worked well together. Need to revise purpose of investigation. Yr.5 need to go over graph construction.

Datblygu gallu'r plant i ffurfio'r geiriau i'r dde, i'r chwith a'r canol.

• Ydy'r plant yn dangos y gallu i ffurfio'r geiriau?

Mae'r plant yn deall sut i ffurfio'r geiriau.

Edrych ar a thrafod arfau ymosodol. Y plant i gwblhau taflen waith gan ddisgrifio sut oedd yr arfau yn cael eu defnyddio.

Trafod cwestiynau ar gyfer ymweliad/cyfweliad Lady Elena.

Trafod amddiffyn castell.

• Ydy'r plant yn gallu disgrifio'r arfau yn gywir?

Disgrifiodd y plant yr arfau yn gywir. Deallodd y plant y gwaith.

Y plant i gymysgu'r lliwiau gwyrdd a glas gyda gwyn i greu llun sy'n ymwneud â theithio. Fe fydd y llun yn cynnwys tonau amrywiol o wyrdd a glas.

• Ydy'r plant yn llwyddo i greu tonau amrywiol o liw gan gymysgu gyda gwyn?

Nid oedd modd gwneud y gwaith yma.

Adolygu y nodiadau B, A, G, D a E. Datblygu gallu'r plant i ddarllen nodiadau cerdd.

• Ydy'r plant yn dangos datblygiad?

Dangosodd y plant datblygiad.

Dechrau y ddawns 'Smyglo' lle mae rhaid i'r plant wrando ar gerddoriaeth i greu symudiadau.

• Ydy'r plant yn creu symudiadau addas?

Dangosodd rhai plant rhai symudiadau addas.

Trafod gyda'r plant teithiau arbennig Cristnogion a Mwslimiaid. Cael y plant i ysgrifennu stori 'Fy Nhaith i.....'

• Ydy'r plant yn gallu uniaethu gyda'r teithiau arbennig?

Ar y cyfan, ydynt. Deallodd y plant pam mae pobl yn mynd ar bererindodau.
